Our Local Hawk and Her Mate

WELCOME TO "THE LOOP RESTURANT"

The Loop was built in 1903. Originally wild game was served here. Shot in the surrounding mountains; bear, elk, deer and many other kings of game were barbecued out back for the patrons.

The barbecue is still out back but is not used today. Many gold and silver barons dined at the Loop in the early days.

The name "The Loop" was coinged beacause the trolley went around the building and back to the Colorado Springs.

Today the Loop has become one of the best know resturants in Colorado. Having won many, many awards for their margaritas, wait staff, food, and decor. They are also known for serving the world's largets margarita.

Check out the great fire place. They say that on the weekends that is standing room only in this resturant.
I can believe it. Outstanding food by far!

The loop's bar where Mega Margaritas
are served.

My lunch "Shrimp Acapulco" Five gulf shrimp warapped in
bacon, deep fried, served on a bed of nachos and topped with
sour cream! This was on of my all time favorite meals on the trip!

DINNING IN DENVER

If your looking for a great dinning experience in Denver, you must experience the newest up and coming modern Italian restaurant in Denver Colorado, "North" Its a trendy up beat restaurant with modern furnishings and old world classic food!
This restaurant is right across the street from the "Cherry Creek Mall" We started off with Antipasti or Appetizers and drinks. Grilled Artichokes, sea salt, and lemon Aioli, Crips calamari, with arugula & grilled lemons, Zucca chips (Yum!) and fresh mozzarella, local tomatoes, sweet basil, with aged balsamic served with some great crusty Italian bread. It took our hungry large group no time to wash all this amazing food down. Since the restraint was not packed at the time we had our late lunch there was plenty of tables for us to dine.
The dinner menu is boasting some of the most amazing rustic Italian food around. I decided to try the grilled Lamb T-bone chops, with borlotti bean ragu & braised greens. My niece shared with her husband a pizza, with marinated figs, goat cheese and prosciutto. Some of the other items that our table ordered were "Rosemary chicken with roasted organic vegetables", "Salmon, with roasted squash, & sweet onions. I had sampled the roasted spaghetti squash and it was velvety and rich!! (yum!) and finally shrimp Fettuccini with broccolini & spicy Garlic Sugo.
This resturant has a friendly staff and amazing food. We all left happy and satisfied to say the least.
