THE EAGLE AND THE HAWKS

Today the weather is clear and crisp in the upper 50’s; but last night has brought a heavy frost and damage to my plants and the Peach tree! This year my peach tree bloomed early because January was so warm, but February has been bitter cold and those little peach buds are clinging onto life, I dought these little peaches buds will make it to maturity.

On my lunch hour I was at the bank and happened to look up in the sky, when I witnessed the most amazing event. The cold weather has brought out the large birds of prey looking for food. As I gazed upon sky a there was a RedTail Hawk searching high and low for food, he was joined in the sky by a Bald Eagle, what a amazing site both birds in the sky at once!.

From a distance an intense scream come from another Red Tail hawk. This hawk, which must be the mate of the other one, had no intention of sharing his air space with this Eagle. So out came the claws and snap to the Eagle. The Eagle laughed with pleause to the red tail hawk febile to clear the air space. This magestic red tail hawk circled the sky once more and snap to the Eagle to clear the air space. This time the eagle leaves for more profitable territory.

Our lands is being destroyed by over building. How will our Birds of prey survive. Will my children and their children get to witness such a wonderfull site, or we surcome to loosing this part of nature as well.
