Happy New Year

January came in with a BANG! We had such cold weather in the month of December that this warm breeze is a welcome site. We hit an all time high and a new record for the warmest day in the history of Jacksonville for this time of year 82 degrees!

After a long and teetus review of all the hotels in and around Lake Como. I've finally found the perfect hotel to end our journey. http://www.hotelauroralezzeno.com/ The lady that runs this marvelous hotel has been very prompt in answering all my questions, additionally she has assisted us in finding good day trips while we are in Lake Como..

I requested a room with a balcony, so after a long day we can gaze upon the beauty of the lake, drink glasses of Prosecco and be mesmerized by the lakes magical powers.

To get to Lake Como comes with taking several trains and a bus. First we go from Vicenza to Milan Central and then get aboard another train to Como S. Giovanni and from there we take a bus to Hotel Aurora. The owner has been graciously looking into finding out what a taxi ride from Como to Lezzeno will cost, instead of taking a bus. What a thoughtfull person!
